Curtain Call
If you did not see the parallels, A Love for the Ages is a fictitious
rendering of the true Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Calvin represents Christ Jesus and Cassandra
represents us.
No, it is not an exact rendering.
For if it was, the King, Prince and
Calvin would have been one and the same, but A Love for the Ages is meant to be
more natural.
I hope the varied elements of the scenery
did not cause you to miss the most unbelievable part, which is truly beyond our
own ground-based points of view. For
instead of just saying that He loves us enough to die for us, our Creator went
ahead and actually did it by sending a full and equal part of Himself to suffer
and die upon a cruel, cruel Roman cross so that we could spend all of eternity
with Him in His Kingdom of Heaven as heirs to all that is His in glory.
All we have to do is want to truly be one of His children by faith,
which includes truly accepting His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus, as our own
personal Lord and Savior. Tragically,
that is too much to ask of far too many.
May you not be among them.
